L – Robin, R – Harry sitting at our post at Publish and Be Damned awaiting the masses to come and scoff our scrumptious zinie goods. This image also contains exclusive product that was wheeled out just for the fair. It also marks the dawn of a new era, we are soon to have some form of online shop going on. On sale will be limited back issues, contributors publications and signed and limited Red Wade prints (as seen attached to the front of our table)!

Watch this cyber space for detailed info and images of all available product.

Artists’ Book and Zine Fair, Spike Island

September 30, 2009

Bristol International Speedway

We took part in Publish & Be Damned this past weekend, and it was a monster of a publishing fair.  Situated in the delightfully acronomyed Oh! building (Oxford House), the fair featured tonnes of printed things by tonnes of people across tonnes of trestle tables.  It was hot and a hoot, and we can’t recommend it enough.  For those of you that didn’t make it, you will just have to wait till next year.  Or not!

Next month, Saturday 31 October, we are taking part in Spike Island’s Artists’ Books and Zine Fair.  Click the link for more info, but the basics are: it’s in Bristol, it’s free entry, 1-6pm, followed by drinks until 9pm, there will be talks during the day, and independent-publishers from across the UK.  Book your travel now to beat the Hallowe’en rush.

A Reminder: Submissions deadline for Issue 6 is midnight, this Sunday 4 October. Submit to anendlesssupply@gmail.com.

thanks

Be Damned and Join Us

September 16, 2009

steps

Next weekend, Sunday 27 September, we are taking part in the independent publishing fair, Publish & Be Damned.

webpagefairintro

Taking place in London’s glamorous East End (click for directions – Bethnal Green is the nearest tube station), between 3-8pm, we’d not only like to invite you to attend the fair and discover what international publishers/ mags/ zinesters are up to, but are also putting out a call for your own artist’s books, editions, posters.

>> JOIN US:

E-mail us with info about your own book projects, or prints, or editions, etc. that you would like us to have on sale (or for free distribution) at the fair.  We will be driving down to London on Saturday 26 Sept, so simply need to have your work by then.  We won’t be taking any commission, and are 99% sure that the fair don’t take a cut from any sales.  So, it sounds like a money making scheme, and another good way for people to get their work ‘out there’.

Look forward to seeing what ‘chu got and making sure our stall is stuffed with goodness

People Places

September 14, 2009

John Baldessari, Stonehenge (With Two Persons) 2005

As ever, the Endless Supply Contributors page has been updated with this month’s wave of new names.  There are currently 62 contributors listed, and 28 weblinked.  That’s a lot of web roaming, and bandwith, and pingbacks, and oh gosh, isn’t the internet a vast and unfathomable immensity of space?

The deadline for Issue 6 submissions is 4 October.  As Issue 7 is our Event issue and submissions are closed the next deadline is the last chance to submit before the hotly anticipated Christmas issue.  So, send your stuff and send it soon, to anendlesssupply@gmail.com.

Issue 5

26-27

With the above stack of pictures we’d like to introduce you to Issue 5 of An Endless Supply.

Due to reasons of cost and control we have taken printing into our own hands, and there are some key changes in the end product:

  • the size has shifted from 29 x 21cm (A4) to 25 x 18cm (B5)
  • our Riso printing machine can be quite brutal with midtones (compare the paper version and pdf for proof)
  • now that we are binding it ourselves we are even more open to inserts and interventions, so keep your proposals coming in.

We are working out the capabilities/limitations of the new printing process as we go along, so thanks for the continued support + submissions.  Issue 5 can be downloaded here (right click/save, 25mb), and will be available in the Ikon bookshop next Wednesday.  We’ll also be launching at various exhibition openings in two weeks time.  More info later.

The next submissions deadline is Sunday 4 October. As ever, send your attachments to anendlesssupply(at)gmail.com.  Following last night’s valuable discussion at Eastside Projects, we’d like to emphasise that contributors keep in mind our printing methods when submitting.  And if you couldn’t make it last night, continued feedback and ideas are welcome, here or by email.

Thanks again, thanks for reading, enjoy the sunshine and each other
